Apple launched newest iPhone, iPhone X on its 10th anniversary. Apple celebrates 10th anniversary of Apple's smartphone with iPhone X launch featuring a complete new design and technology. Apple also launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus at the event.

This all screen iPhone X has an edge to edge display and home button and fingerprint scanner has been removed. It unlocks via facial recognition which Apple calls it Facial ID.

Lenovo K8 Note the latest from Lenovo house released on Amazon exclusive. The phone's main

Dual Camera System :

After Lenovo Phab 2, this is the second of its kind from Lenovo house which comes with dual camera system. In this phone the camera position is fixed at center of the back which looks pretty good. The photos from rear and front selfie camera is so good at this price. The sense of 13 MP camera can be seen in the photos clicked. But when it comes  to performance, the Lenovo K8 Note does not deliver much of its dual camera. It seems like Lenovo is doing trial and test for the dual camera system for the second time. Sometimes the background blur does not work properly.

However user can register their interest and jio team will notify users when the booking resumes. After clicking on register now you will be redirected to a page where you will be asked to fill the details in the form like name, email id, mob no. The pre-booking of Reliance Jio Phone starts on the website, Jio app and the Reliance retails stores. Rs. 500 has to be paid at the time of booking and the rest Rs.1000 at the time of delivery.

Jio Phone launched : Free Free Free, available from 15th August

Jio has launched its most awaited Jio Phone today at Reliance Industries 40th Annual General Meeting AGM. At the AGM Akash Ambani (Ambani's son) explained about the Phone. The smartphone offers free calling for life time. Also the jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer will be available only at Rs 153 which very less than Rs 399 on the other Phone.

The Jio phone will be available from 15th of August. The Jio Phone is for the users who can not afford expansive 4G phone.

"The Jio Phone would be available to users for an effective price of Rs 0" said Mukesh Ambani. 

"On the jio phone voice will always be free, second, the 50 crore feature phone users don't even have access to basic internet. I believe today every young India  should have access to information at his fingertips and that is what the Jio phone enables. To enable a digital life all need access to data at affordable rates. So starting August 15 this year I am declaring digital freedom for all the feature phone users. Jio will give them access to unlimited data on the Jio phone," Ril Chairman said.

Rilaince Jio is targeting the 50 cr feature phone users who don't have any access of internet. The Smartphone is free for the users. Users need to deposit refundable 1500 Rs as security when booking. The smartphone will be a keypad phone which support many latest features.

The Jio Phone will have the voice response support. Users will also be able to connect Jio Phone to their smart TV and cathode ray TV as well. It means user can view their Jio content on TV screen.

Sony Smart Contact Lens Could Record Everything What You See

Smart lenses are known for their focus and improving vision but for the first time Sony gets a patent for its new generation smart contact lens that could record everything what you see.

Over the years there has been several speculation regarding this technology now comes in reality. "The contact lens according to claim 1, further comprising: a recording control unit configured to perform control in a manner that a captured image by the image pickup unit is recorded in a storage medium."  View the full patent on the USPTO website

Sony smart contact lens can be controlled by users blink. Users can switch the camera mode on and off by closing their eyelids on purpose. Sensors embedded in the lens are able to detect the difference between voluntary and involuntary blinks. If the time period of blinking exceeds 0.5 sec, the blinking is considered to be conscious blinking. The contact lens also equipped with electroluminescence display screen for viewing videos and images. There will be zoom, auto focus and blurry images adjustment option. Accelerometer and infrared sensors are also added according to the document.

Privacy Concern: No doubt the contact lens is futuristic but it can cause a breech of an individual's privacy. The person would never know that someone with such advance tech can record his/her activities with just a blink of an eye.

If you are eager to buy the Sony smart contact lens you will have to wait at least two years. Till now no release date has been announced.

  

Programming Languages, FORTRAN AND BASIC

Programming languages are artificial language designed to be read and used by the people for writing precise instructions for a computer.

Computer language can be classified into three categories:

(i) Machine language (ii) Symbolic language (iii) High level language

(iii) High level languages: When symbolic languages are used programming is slow and time consuming, hence high level languages were developed to utilize the hardware of the computer. There are many advantages of high level languages which are as follows:

What is optical fiber?
Fiber optics is transparent fiber made by glass (silica) or plastic. Fiber optics is made up of very thin strands of glass also called optical fiber. When light signals are sent through fiber optic cable, they reflect off the core and cladding in a series of zig-zig bounces and this process is called total internal reflection. Sometime these signals need to renew when the path is long. Therefore Repeaters  at certain distant intervals are used to regenerate the optical signal by converting it to electrical signal. Electrical signal is then processed to re transmit the optical signal.

Communication:

Fiber optics communication is used to transmit information from one end to other end.  One cable can have hundreds strands. This strand is very thin almost tenth of human hair and can handle almost 25,000 telephone calls. So an entire cable can handle millions calls. Military and Space industries also use optical fiber as means of communication.

Power transition:
Optical fiber can be used to transmit power using Photovoltaic  cell to convert light into electricity. While this method of power transition is not efficient as the regular methods.

• The main cause of the difference between what is printed and what actually displayed n the computer is the calculation method used by disc manufacturing companies. Our computer understand binary system not decimal systen. For simplicity manufacturer use use 1GB= 1000*1000*1000 bytes rather than 1GiB=1024*1024*1024. In 1GB pen drive you actually get 1000000000 bytes instead of 1073741824 bytes.

Sansui has recently launched a budget smartphone Sansui Horizon 1 eyeing for common people who haven't used any smartphone yet. Jio withdraws its summer surprise offer (explained)

A bad news for jio users, jio has withdrawn its summer surprise offer yesterday. After TRAI advise to Reliance it finally announced that it was going to withdraw summer surprise offer. Summer surprise offer was to give 3 months free data if recharge with Rs303 before 15 april. The offer announced on 31st march after Happy New Year offer ended.

Jio said in press note "Jio accepts this decision. Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator's advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days."

72 million signed up for Jio Prime in one month

Reliance Jio had announced that in “just one month, over 72 million Jio customers have signed up for Jio Prime, making it one of the most successful customer privilege programmes anywhere in the world.”

With 72 million subscribers enrolling for prime membership till March 31, Reliance Jio will remain disruptive given its aspirations, investment banking firm Jefferies said in its recent report.

The newcomer in the industry has over 100 million customers.
